Dyer and Scott Ltd was originally started by Ronald Dyer back in 1958 and the two sites in Clifton and Portishead were covered by him on a part time basis. His son Nick Dyer (dispensing optician)joined the business in 1981 and Rob Scott (optometrist) 5 years later. Nick and Rob found they had a very similar outlook towards optometry and dispensing.
I have been in practice in Whitchurch since 1981. I am currently supported by two assistants. The Practice carries out sight testing, the dispensing of spectacles, and the fitting and supplying ofcontact lenses. Many conditions occur within the eyes that need monitoring, some of which may require routine or urgent referral. Patients can seek advice during normal Practice hours or via my Out Of Hours page.
Your vision quality and eye health are our priorities. We offer private and NHS eye examinations for adults and children including fitness to drive and overlay tests. Plus, you can depend on us toassist with your contact lens fitting, solve your lens problems and re-glaze or repair your spectacles.
