About the Business

We are an independent opticians providing a warm, friendly and professional service. We have been in practice since 1997. Our Principal Optometrist Gus Sidhu ( BSc Hons MBCO and FBDO Contact Lenses Certified) has over twenty five years of experience of providing first rate eye care.

We believe our success is due to philosophy of being big enough to stay competitive without losing the personal touch and independent values of a smaller firm.

We carry out a comprehensive eye health check, providing prescription glasses, sunglasses, contact lenses and child eye care. Additionally, we are the first independant practice in Lewisham to offer Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) examination, which can aid the detection and monitoring of serious eye diseases including macular degeneration, retinal detachment, tumours and diabetic retinopathy.

Our Services

Adult Eye Examination £20.00 / Free (Nhs):

Regular eye tests are important because your eyes don't usually hurt when something is wrong unlike the rest of your body. An eye test is also a valid health check for your eyes. It's recommended that adults have their eyes tested every two years, unless their opticians advises them to have a sight test more often than that.

A comprehensive eye health examination at Provision Opticians can detect diseases like glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration, cataract and more. As sight test will show if you need to get glasses for the first time or change your current glasses.

Child Eye Examination Free (Nhs):

Eye tests are vey important for children to ensure their eyes are developing normally, especially between the ages of 3 to 7. Both vision and eye health need to be monitored as children often do not know, or say, that they have a problem. It is advisable for kids to have their eyes tested from the age of 3 or 4 (depending on the child's ability).

Contact Lens Consultation / Fitting £25.00:

Every eye is different. Differences include the diameter and the curvature of your eye, not to mention the severity of any vision problems that you might have. This is why getting the precise contact lens fitting is so important.

Our optician will take careful measurements of your eyes using a special instrument called a keratometer. Your eye dimensions will determine the shape and size of your lenses. Thereafter, we will have you wear trial lenses as a part of your fitting.

We stock most of the major contact lenses suppliers so we will fit the most appropriate lenses. Choices include daily disposable and monthly disposable options in standard, toric and multifocal varieties as well as cosmetic coloured options.

Optical Coherence Topography Free:

We will provide a free introductory OCT scan until September 2015.

Scans can be taken away with you on a USB flash drive so don't forget to bring one!
