About the Business
R. A. Glass Optometrists and Associates is a group of six practices situated in and around Belfast. Ronnie Glass returned to Northern Ireland in 1971 after graduating from The City University, London. He worked with J Lizars, Belfast for five years during which time he gained invaluable experience fitting complex contact lenses for the Royal Victoria and other major hospitals. Ronnie established his first practice in 1976 in Carrickfergus and still runs this and the Botanic Avenue, Belfast branch.
The other four branches at Comber, Glengormley, Holywood and Larne are managed by four younger, enthusiastic and experienced Optometrists. The practices have a number of conservation and lighting awards for their sensitive integration into existing historical environments. The seven Optometrists and most of the 16 support staff have years of experience and a long and successful history of problem solving and dealing with complex spectacle and contact lens prescriptions.
