We started at 64 Cardiff Road, situated at the top of end ofCaerphilly town centre before moving to our current location 1996. Optometry has been in the family since the NHS began in 1948, when John O'Connor Davies's father turned from pharmacy to ophthalmic optics and subsequently wrote the first university text book ondrugs and the eye. Today, John's own son, Andrew, is continuing tradition. He is already a qualified ophthalmic optician and just about to embark on a career as an ophthalmologist.
